Alexander Grinberg

Alexander D. Grinberg (1885-1979) is one of Russia's most respected photographers of the twentieth century. Born in the late nineteenth century, and having lived ninety-four years, experienced the Russian revolution, civil war, two world wars, the Stalinist repression, along with many fluctuations in the political and cultural history Soviet. Grinberg child and showed a strong attraction to photography, making his first shot with just ten years.

At the age of twenty-two, was an active member of Russian society photography, which became a major creative force. After the war he worked for model homes, and took photos for fashion designers of the time. Alexander Grinberg and

therefore devoted his life to his greatest passions: photography, who never left or the most difficult of circumstances.
