OPENING REMARKS
I once read in the poetry of Manuel Cofino the following verse: "There are places that bear a painful love." Almost always this place is related to the geographical space where he has spent or our children, or simply is the same place where we experience pleasurable experiences whose impact made us think seriously that the eternal was a condition of happiness. In my case, and I'm sure the many of you also, that idealized place is a library. A cozy bookstore that stays intact as a country, indoor and appropriate homeland, not matter if you call Arcadia, (the ancient land of happiness), or Utopia, (the idealized island of Thomas More), or simply indicates entity claimed an unnamed site for nostalgia, or ocated in the endless steppes of memory, where all dreams are stored in cardboard boxes commercial, not for pleasure are on the outside, "as a warning," the universal symbol of fragility. There in that bookstore, I took my first positions to admiring famous works of art and literature of the world that have been motivational stimuli he r primal human from its presence in this galaxy ours. There I was haunted with some legends from other cultures, like Egypt or the Ottoman, through which I could feel in my spirit the ancient heat of the desert sand of the Valley of the Kings or the rhythmic recitation of the Qur'an from the high minarets Constantinople, respectively. Worshiped there the patriarchs of American letters: the Rulfo, the Arguedas, the Cortázar, the Mistral, the Pablo de Rokha, the Octavio Paz, Amado Nervo. There, amid shelves of mahogany, found Aleph Borges and , Neruda and 20 love poems, Vallejo and Trilce , Carpentier and lost Steps to Huidobro and Altazor , Darius and his Blue and many others of other strings and elsewhere. For some time here, more than thirty years of those reminiscences when he was a loner, phlegmatic reader, a phenomenon with a great character called legalized the euphoria of bibliophiles: The International Fair
the world. The walls are filled with pas quines, book shelves, and, above all, the streets of readers with an unstoppable lust for lyrics and stories, a phenomenon that could be seen as taking runes atavistic and contemporary culture, human determination of stealing from the gods a bit of his fire. Fair of the book is a wonderful sensual feast, and everyone who attends to her amazement confesses his dependence, his incurable addiction to language and confabulation. WORDS OF PRESENTATION OF THE P OUNTRY OF PULTE BY ALEXANDER Besu
BE PULTE
Al map Amundi literature has been born a new people: The Pulte.
The country of Pulte is a novel directed to the recipient child and adolescent, but s us semiotic codes also involve adults in a communicative phenomenon that reaches its paroxysm in works such as The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupery Heart of Edmundo de Amicis, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho or Platero and I by Juan Ramon Jimenez, among other equally universal.
Gudin, in his novel, slide a bunch of events aimed at satisfying the human need for wonder, and by which demonstrates the urgent importance of reconciliation with the poetry. And it does so without moralizing or didactic intentions in clear allusion to the paradigm shift experienced by the children's literature of modern times, a change involving a transition from didactic moral harangue playful aesthetic discourse is manifest since the nineteenth century not only in literature, but also in art.
writer Maria Argentina Emilia López in the introduction to the magazine Artepalabra. Voices in the poetry of childhood, says: "The art form demands a meeting with the child or adult who produces or receives, unlike other aspects of culture. Far from the repetition and didacticism, through the subjectivity of each person, breaking new ground, seeking questions, generating transformations, inventing new ways you say, blowing up the obvious ... and sometimes, art happens .
Also this work has been conceived. Built with a language which the author combines different linguistic levels where they coexist terms inherent in government parlance, the pyramids of power with others closer to the child lexicology or phrases that announce is poetry and even humor. The result is a parodic structure in which the level of information is mixed with a metaphorical flashes hybridization forces us to rethink categories such as text and image, form and content, form and function, text and Paratext , etc. ... All material and formal elements of this novel are carriers of meaning, and this material interacts with the reader as the evolutionary stage of child.
Gudin also uses resources of oral narrative or explanatory clauses personal opinions addressed to a reader who participates as an active player in the (re) creation of the text while it gives tricks to circumvent traps and obstacles that constitute the double readings, teasing and irony, mocking camouflaged but irrefutable philosophical digressions, and a polished anthropology that facilitates the embodiment of the entelechy, and the expansion of the poetic space.
The thinker Laura Devetach defines poetic space as "that time, the place and the dimension of interiority where every search, every discovery may be possible (...) Where is kindled the desire and curiosity that help break conventional boundaries and so we approach to fiction and poetry. Where all those things can be incorporated into our daily lives as factors of awareness and knowledge. So, too, as growth and recovery of existence. "
In The Country of the Pulte poetic space leads the chase the horizon, and when it runs the physical space on earth, exploring the vastness of the nine sparkling seas on the trail of the siren or ascertained by the National Weather trails. The poetic space of this work, "which is the same for Nelson, just adjacent to the infinite.
In Praise reading, the intellectual Guillermo Saavedra argues: "The beauty of reading is not to teach others to exhaust the text, but to train them in the pleasure of finding inexhaustible " .
born That is this book under the imprint of Las Tunas Sanlope: an inexhaustible boom that will come back again and again to understand that imagination is a homeland, to be Pulte is the only way to be suitable for hold the dream, suitable for fantasy, free by the grace of poetry. That: be Pulte is the only way to be free.
Many thanks.
WORDS OF PRESENTATION OF THE CITY AND THE CRAZY BY ALEXANDER Besu
A CRAZY SKULL
skull of a madman out
songs, mythological beings,
sounds confusing, illogical ,
valueless currency. Salen
Salem witch paganism
or other dirty, leaving some to
legoría,
a metaphor, simile ... And the most unlikely
:
poetry, poetry!
A fool is not always a mistake of God, something is wrong, reprehensible. A fool may also be an advance, an exegete can read between the lines what is forbidden to a legion of sane. A fool can be a spokesman of poetry and explaining it while belies the rigidity of the coherence, effectiveness of logic. A fool can be a leader in a city wise. Please believe me, go to this book entitled The crazy city and , poet, novelist, playwright, comedian and actor of Cuban television Nelson Benitez Gudin , better known as The Bacon of life, or Flower Urbinito Anise. This book of poetry received to finish to get for its author a very important award. For this collection has been awarded the prize for best new author of this International Book Fair 2011. A distinction that emphasizes the fineness lyricism of the poet who has been the target of some skeptics who disbelieve in their versatility, or not conceive, because they can not, that a creator can show similar geniuses in two art forms that are supposed to be located in antipodes: the comedy and literature. But in this exhibition are two works that show these skills: a children's novel, brimming with images, sealed by the editorial, entitled tunera Sanlope The country of Pulte , and this is the second installment literary Gudin, The city and the insane , crystallized by publisher Extramuros Havana. You can bet that more will come, because Nelson, like the prodigal son has returned to the literature, a term that saw him emerge as a writer for over twenty years and has waited patiently for an opportunity that until now, had caught the performing arts .
City and crazy is not just a book of clearances communication, but also of revenues proven conceptual, metaphysical. A crazy poet wears rags, "or vice versa, and is exposing his city to the balanced view of guests and natives, until it is vulnerable, naked. The unusual is that what was expected as a speech upset, prone to mockery, like a torrent lyrical surprises that sometimes reaches an intense, almost philosophical bloody beauty, so credible and clear, often painful and requires a sane doubt his own sanity.
In these poems the city loses its pose, breaks its shell, reveals his other Moorish architecture is not, or eclectic, or rococo, but human helplessly. The smell of sewage and impurities existential soul of man, which are placed at the center of the discourse of the mad-poet, "or vice versa, which, inexplicably, shows a fluency and mastery of the word of truth that make Husky axiomatic recommends covering it with a shell. However, do not misunderstand me: there is a book of human miseries worshiper, no. On the contrary, not only exposed, but also proposed formula suggests. And it does so with a tinge of hope in his voice and a blind faith in the saving power poetry. Once the loco begins his dissertation is impossible not to hear, simply because silence defeats because it shows that silence is a version of suicide, because although he is seen wandering hopeless, only asylum-seekers to communicate, to versatility of thought, to the heterogeneity of culture.
If sincerity, austere behavioral screening, or disagreement with the servility of opinion "or intellectual annexation is a symptom of dementia, then I welcome the madness as an alternative form of expression. I consider this book an extension of Praise of Folly , with forgiveness of the humanist Erasmus of Rotterdam, who dedicated it, "and that no one sees in this fact a coincidence, Thomas More, the creator of the island Utopia. And is that as that published in the distant 1511, exactly 500 years ago, it is also a sharp satire against society where the crazy disjointed sets its reign and seduces the audience with the beauty of his language out of balance, so that, with their presence, the city remains possible.
skull of a mad springs,
-disguised as madness, truth
naive and pure with a curse.
springs an unknown city,
diffuse, unfocused;
springs unreal, baroque,
futility, the substitute ...
Everything is possible in the skull of a mad
essential!
